Futuristic Arcades

Yesterday was my day off, so Ryan and I decided to go and see a movie at the Horizon Casino. Inside the casino there is the movie theater, Starbucks and an arcade. All of the casinos have arcades in them and we never really checked them out. We ended up at the theater early so we decided to play some games. When we got into the dark and loud arcade we looked around for some old Street Fighter or Centipede games, when we noticed all of the games had these card scanners. They looked like credit card scanners, and they were right where the slot to enter quarters would have been.

Ryan and I walked to the ticket counter to see what was up. Sure enough you have to buy a "play card". Certain dollar amounts add up to a certain amount of points that you can use on the games. You can't just use quarters!!! CRAZY! We decided to put $10 on a card and go wild. We played the Jurassic Park game, where you get to kill the dinosaurs, and Ry and I killed the T-Rex!! Ryan played some Street Fighter, and almost beat the hardest guy to beat. We also played a few of the Cruiser games, where you drive at extremly high speeds around corners and don't crash. I really can't play to many arcade games, I would rather play air hockey, or skeeball.

We had a good time. The movie was okay. We saw SexDrive. Not as funny as Superbad. I won't get into it, it would be a waste of time.
