It's October PINKtober!

My, my, the year has gone by fast. I can't believe that it is already October 1st. But the month of October has some really fun things to look forward to. First of all it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Which means I get to wear pink all the time! After my mom passed away, I became Breast Cancer crazy. I buy pretty much anything that is pink and gives a good percentage of their profits to Susan G. Komen, or any other breast cancer research. I have multiple shirts, 2 bracelets, 1 necklace, 3 pins (I wear those at work everyday), a gardening nozzle and a broom. I actually donated my old vehicle (the '97 champange colored Ford Escort Wagon -- which was so lovely donated to me by Aunt Linda), to the Susan G. Komen fund. Too bad I didn't see the amount on my tax 'refund'.

The other reason why October is so fun, is of course because of HALLOWEEN! Halloween is so much fun. I love getting dressed up and seeing everyone in costumes. My favorite costumes are the most creative ones. When I was a kid, I remember dressing up as a dalmation, Cinderella, 50's poodle girl (which Grandma made a poodle skirt for me) and a witch. Then my freshman year some girlfriends and I got together and decided to be the crew of Sleeping Beauty. My friend Natalie was Sleeping Beauty and made a pink shimmery dress. Then Brittney, Kelly and I were the three fairies. I was the blue one, Merryweather. Brittney was Flora, the red one, and Kelly was Fauna, the green one. I wish I had a picture of us, but all of my pictures were lost in the move. This will have to suffice.

I spent SO many fun Halloweens with you and your family! Your Mom and I always had a blast! We would take wine in big tall plastic cups when we took your sisters trick-or-treating! I have some pics I can email you :)
And I LOVE that you support the breast cancer fight so much. Love you too!
