To Be Replaced.

Hopefully what I am assuming is true (that good 'ole Francy-Pants is in kitty heaven), really is true or Francis wont be very happy when he comes home to find a replacement cat. We're getting a new one!!! That's the only thing that is going to cheer me up. Ryan and I are going to wait until maybe November to get a new kitten, but we already have one type of kitty in mind. We both want to get a orange tabby or maybe a calico, it has to be a boy... and we kind of want a kitty with blue eyes. I know, I'm crazy for thinking I'm going to find a blue eyed, male, orange kitty... but I guess it's just some wishful thinking.

Missing Frances Francis

He is gone. My little kitty Frances Francis is has dissapeared. There is as long story about the spelling of his name, but I will shorten it. I always wanted to spell it with an "es" since that's the way my mom had it spelt (if we're getting technical it's the female way to spell it), but since he is a boy Ryan pointed out it has to be spelt Francis, but I guess it doesn't really matter no one ever called him a boy anyways.
Anyways, we noticed that the house was too quiet mid-Monday morning. We had friends from SoCal visiting us for the weekend so it was possible that the door was left ajar and he had gotten out. He has escaped a few times before but has always come back the next morning for food.

Well now here we are after 2 days and 2 nights, still no sign of him. I am really upset... he was my child and now I don't know where he is. I don't know if someone else took him in, if a bear or coyote ate him for a snack or if he is hurt, scared and alone. It's all just too much for me.

Since I am missing him so much I figured I would post some pictures of how silly of a kitty he was.

Here he is sleeping on Ryan.

Staring out into oblivion.

Resting on my chest
Sitting in the bathtub. His favorite spot in the house.
The house feels so empty without him here. I wish he would just come home or I would find him dead. I don't rest easy not knowing where his furry butt is.
So now all that Ryan and I can do is wait... Hopefully he will come home.

Free Tickets To Where??? I'll Take 'Em!

I know, I know its been a while since I acutally updated about me. I celebrated my birthday last week -- thank you for all of the birthday love. I had a great time. I worked all morning and came home to a bouquet of flowers, a present and a cake! The present was in a Disney Princess gift bag, the present itself was Peter Pan on DVD. And then the cake was Alice in Wonderland!!! Ryan did an awesome job tying Disney into everything! I was so proud of him, lol.

Hold up... I was just interuppeted at work with a man holding a camera phone. He asked "Are you Meghan?" and I answered, "Yes". And he says, "Smile to your Aunt Heather!!" I was so confused... My Aunt Heather?? How does this dude know her?? Sure enough Mr. Fordyce works with her... and she told him I work at Embassy (I think), lol. Anyways we had a nice chat about Auntie Heador... And I asked him how his room was and he told me he had a stinky 2 queen smoking suite. I told him that the room just wouldn't do for a co-worker of my Auntie, so I switched him to a much better room. A king non smoking suite on the 6th floor looking over the Gondola. He was stoked... I love to make my guest's happy.

Anyways -- to the actual reason why I am writing the blog... I got to see a Sheryl Crow and James Blunt concert last night. The venue was the same place that Robert & Alison played at... but this time I was in the bleachers... I guess I can't be VIP everytime. Now the story of how I got the concert tickets. I was at work (as usual) and a guest walked up to the desk and asked if he could ask a stupid question. When guests say that, I try to be as positive as possible and reinforce like a kindergarten teacher that "no question is a stupid question". Then he mentions that he had 2 back up tickets to the show and he's not going to use them because he got some 5th row seats and wanted to know if I could use the tickets. Well DUH I can use the tickets... I loved Mr. Nakamoto. (Odd, an asain at a Sheryl Crow concert??) JUST KIDDING!!! :)

I had an awesome time, I ended up going with Ryan's friend Will, since Ry had to work. We had an awesome time, minus the two drunk old couples next to me. They were so drunk one of the ladies kept saying she wanted to leave unless Sheryl came on, but then her husband is telling her he bought Sheryl Crow tickets just for her, and they just have to be paitient. So he sends her off stumbling to find another beer to shut her up. Ya know the best way to deal with a drunk is to make them get more drunk...??? RRRRIIIIIIIGGGGHHHHTTTT

James Blunt was an awesome performer, for his songs being so depressing his show was so lively. He cracked a few jokes about his 'miserable' songs. He was super cute too, gotta love the Brits! Sheryl looked great for being in remisson with breast cancer and over 40, her vocal was phenomenal (of course), granted she did get a little horase around the end of the show. She was pretty political as well. She wrote a song "Gas Is Free" talking about in 2012 how she thinks gas could be free, blah blah blah. She also talked about peace and the war, this and that...

Well that is about it for now, getting off work and it's my FRIDAY! WEEEEEEE!!!!!

Excerpt from Cat's Diary:

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now................

Hail in July?!?!

I have never lived anywhere where it is less than 80 degrees in the middle of July. So you can imagine it was quite a surprise when I was driving home from getting a sandwich with Ryan and it started raining, and then by the time we got home it was thundering and lighting and HAILING. I mean serious hail. I decided to go outside and take some video to show you of this freak event.

Crazy, crazy stuff. Well my sister, Caitin has been getting really creative lately with digital imaging. She has a program called Photofiltre that is basically free photoshop. I wanted her to make something cool for me so I sent her a bunch of random pictures and look what she did

Photobucket

I think it's perfect. Thank you Caity! So since I am so bored and I can't sleep tonight I am also going to post more pictures of the Alison Krauss & Robert Plant concert. And also some from Victoria and Carlos' wedding. :]
